If you want to experience one of the beauties of the south, then take a trip through Tennessee. It is largely untouched by urban influence. and is full of amazing lakes, rivers and forests. Standing Stones State Park is one such triumph of southern landscapes that sits on the Cumberland Plateau of North-Central Tennessee. The name of this park is derived from a 12 foot rock that stood straight up on a sandstone ledge. It once marked the border of two Indian tribes.

Locations, hours and admission

The park is located at 1674 Standing Stone Park Highway in Hilham, Tennessee. The hours of operation are dawn until dusk for day visitors, and for campers a "quiet time" begins at 10:00 pm. It is free for regular visitors, but for campers there are fees.

Amenities

You can either camp, rent a cabin or get a group lodge at Standing Stone State Park. There are restrooms, bathrooms, a meeting room and amphitheater for use by visitors.
