Located in Pall Mall, Tennessee, Sgt. Alvin C. York State Park honors its namesake, who not only lived in Pall Mall, but was one of the most decorated soldiers of World War I. Historic structures

The house, farm, grist mill, general store and post office once owned by Sgt. York are all located on the grounds of this historic park. In addition to the structures themselves, the York home site museum in Sgt. Alvin C. York State Park includes a collection of York's personal and wartime mementos, such as family portraits, personal items and photographs. The historic collection includes an M247 Sgt. York tank located on the grounds of the park. The park also contains the Wolf River Methodist Church, the York Bible Institute and the Wolf River Cemetery, where York and his family are buried.

Hiking trails and a swinging bridge

Sgt. Alvin C. York State Park is a popular choice for hikers who want to enjoy the natural beauty of the park that runs along the Wolf River. You can catch glimpses of mink, muskrat, beaver, deer, ducks and turtles as you follow the trails. The trails also take you through the park's deep hardwood forests, wildflower fields and extensive stands of river cane. A 175 foot long swinging bridge located 15 feet above the Wolf River is an integral part of the park's trail system. The bridge is a prime spot to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Wolf River.
