Pickwick Landing State Park

Pickwick Landing State Park is located in western Tennessee in a town called Pickwick Dam and was established as a state park in the early 1970s. It was during these early years that the cabins, inn, marina and picnic shelters were built. It has grown until it is now one of the most visited parks in the Tennessee State Park system.
Choose your ideal sleeping quarters
When planning a trip to this beautiful park, choose from the different amenities that are available. You have your choice of staying at the lodge, pitching a tent or pulling in your RV for your stay. The lodge overlooks Pickwick Lake and has an Inn and Conference Center, as well as a gift shop, gym and indoor and outdoor pools. If you are looking for more of an outdoor adventure, then consider one of the 48 sites with electrical hook ups, picnic table and grill.
Spend the day on the lake
There are two boat ramps that are free to use in the park. Boats of up to 60 feet safely launch into this beautiful lake. Do not forget to take your fishing rod with you, as this lake is filled with crappie, bass, catfish, walleye and many other types of fish. Fishing is enjoyed both out in a boat and by shore.
Go for a swim
Cool off by taking a dip in either the pools at the lodge or one of the three public swimming beaches. There are more than two miles of public swimming areas in the park that are not supervised, meaning supervision of children is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
No matter the activity that you choose for your family, there are many more fun and exciting things to explore in this gorgeous State Park. Pack up for a long stay or just visit for a day knowing that everyone is sure to leave with happy memories of their adventures at Pickwick Landing State Park.
