Lodging
Natchez Trace houses a 47-room resort inn, the Pin Oak Lodge, offering all the standard hotel amenities. The inn is located on the shores of Pin Oak Lake; business facilities, including meeting rooms and a conference center, are available onsite. A total of 27 cabins are available in the park, 17 at Cub Lake and 10 on Pin Oak Lake. Three campgrounds provide cabins, tent sites and RV spaces. Back country camping within the park is allowed with a permit.
Activities
The vast Natchez Trace State Park allows for a wide variety of recreational activities. Boating, swimming and fishing are permitted at the four lakes located within the park. Boats are available for rent at Cub Lake, Browns Lake and Maple Lake. An extensive network of trails winds through the park's forested areas, with individual trails ranging from a half mile to 40 miles. There are 250 miles of horseback-riding trails in the southern portion of the park; the park hosts an Equestrian Center and offers overnight boarding for horses.
Facilities and events
In addition to lodging and recreational facilities, Natchez Trace features picnic areas located throughout the park, playgrounds for children and facilities for tennis, softball, basketball, volleyball and archery. Events and educational programs are scheduled throughout the year, including hikes, history programs and wildlife demonstrations. A park museum introduces local history and the park's environment and wildlife.
