Harrison Bay State Park

Golfing, biking, boating and more are available at Harrison Bay State Park. Located 20 miles from Chattanooga, this 1,200-acre state park offers a wide range of resources for you to experience and enjoy the great outdoors. Known as the oldest state park in the state of Tennessee, Harrison Bay provides all the resources needed to entertain you for the day or entire week.

Enjoy the water

This beautiful state park contains 40 miles of the Chickamauga Lake shore. Here you can enjoy boating, fishing and swimming. A boat ramp is available and all boat types are welcomed on the lake. And if fishing catches your interest, head out on the lake and cast your line for bass, bluegill and catfish. In addition, if swimming out in the lake is not your idea of fun, then an Olympic size swimming pool and a wading pool is located in the park.

Become one with nature

Both tent and RV campsites are available throughout the park. There are 128 RV campsites that provide water and electrical hookups. In addition, 21 limited tent campsites are scattered throughout the park. Throughout the day you can enjoy biking the 4.5 mile trail within the park, or enjoy one of the three hiking trails. Each trail varies in length, providing you with more opportunities to get out and move. In addition, you can hit a few golf balls at the Bear Trace Golf Course, which is known as "the best natural piece of land for a golf course."

At Harrison Bay State Park there is something for all ages to enjoy. The camping, biking and hiking trails are often a favorite pastime, along with the Bear Trace Golf Course.
